We know, you don’t see anything on their teeth now, and they do not have bad breath.  Next to neutering/spaying and vaccinating your pet, taking care of the teeth is the best prevention you can give your pet.

What will I prevent if I brush my pets teeth?

You will be saving your pet from lots of pain and suffering.  By simply utilizing a dental kit regularly and having their teeth cleaned when necessary, you will prevent infections which are very painful and lead to really serious side effects:

You will be preventing heart disease that can develop from the bacteria in their mouth.  This heart disease is often irreversible because the teeth have been bad for so long.

You will be preventing kidney and liver damage from the bacteria that is floating through their body from bad teeth.  Again this is often irreversible due to the teeth being neglected for such a long time.

You will be preventing tooth loss, which can effect how your pet eats or whether they eat at all.
